This seminar is devoted to the evolution of vocal education, starting in the late Renaissance running up to the 20th century. The program is aimed at singers and voice enthusiasts with a keen interest in the history of classical singing. In the course of two days you’ll be introduced to the principle treatises on voice production of the day and their influence on both singers and composers. The goal is to provide perspective on today’s voice pedagogy. Illuminating, to the point and in accessible language.
